Our popular tour to get to know the former capital of Tanzania (until 1974). Here you will get to know the somewhat more westernized civilized city in its own way.

You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning or at noon and guided on a city tour (full day) to the hotspots of Tanzania's vibrant metropolis. Your local, native guide will introduce you to the history of Dar Es Salaam, introduce you to local culture and, if you're lucky, let you speak your first words of Kiswahili at a market while buying fruits, vegetables or coffee.  Popular spots on this tour include the War Cemetery, National Museum of Tanzanian History, Azania Lutheran Church, St. Joseph Cathedral, Sokoine Road, Kariakoo Market, Mwenge Wood Carvers Market. For lunch, you will stop at a local restaurant and enjoy a Tanzanian lunch of your choice.

In the late afternoon, you will be transferred back to your hotel where the rest of the evening is at leisure.
